Day 1: Visit the  Cochin Check in Athirapally

Arrival Cochin airport or station  our team welcomes you. Here, drive to Athirapally (2 hours drive) which boasts of lush forests and large waterfalls. Stay at a serene resort See Athirapally Waterfalls, one of India largest and other nearby falls like Charpa and Vazhachal. Spend the night in the country. Overnight at Athirapally.

 

Day 2: Athirapally-Cochin

Following breakfast, see Thumboormuzhi Hanging Bridge and Butterfly Garden, a relatively serene place that has a river and vegetation views.

If you have time see Peringalkuthu Dam. After that, you will be taken back in Cochin where you can be left in the hotel or any other facility. Overnight in Cochin.

 

Day 3: Munnar to Cochin

Have breakfast and then drive to Munnar, which is a cool hill station famed with tea gardens. On the roadside, visit Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls. Visit Munnar, and take rest at your resort. Munnar are three rivers merged and at an altitude of 1600 meters above the sea level.  It is a summer retreat of British officers  now it has became popular due to tea plantations and Neelakurinji flower seen once in every 12 years.  Spend the night in Munnar.

 

Day 4: Munnar Sightseeing

Begin the morning by going to the Eravikulam National Park where one can be able to see an endangered species of the mountain goat Nilgiri Tahr. Trek and have a view of short guided treks Next, go to Mattupetty dam and Echo point where you can hear your voice echo in the hills. Stay on your hotel in Munnar.

 

Day 5: Munnar to Thekkady

Take Breakfast in the morning and then travel to Thekkady where the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is located. This park is famous with its tigers, elephants, thick green forests and lake. Go into your hotel and rest. Overnight- Thekkady.

 

Day 6: Thekkady Occupations

Spend a free day and many optional things:

Boating On Periyar Lake

Spice plantation tour

Elephant rides

Jungle jeep safari or nature walk

watch Kerala martial arts, or native tribal dance

Choose the experiences that fit you the best. Stay in Thekkady.

 

Day 7: Thekkady to Kumarakom

Visit Kumarakom then after breakfast which is a beautiful village lying on the banks of Vembanad Lake. Arrive at your resort The rest of the day is spent at leisure by the lake or in the resort. Overnight in Kumarakom.

 

Day 8: Kumarakom- Bird Watching and Free day

Early this morning we will be visiting the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary population by migratory birds that include the herons, egrets and a group of Siberian storks . Enjoy the backwaters serene and the scenery. Overnight at Kumarakom.

 

Day 9: Kumarakom to Alleppey Houseboat Cruise

Take breakfast and  drive to Alleppey. Take a personal houseboat at noon and explore a leisurely vacation of the backwaters. Watch life in village, rice fields and fishers. The meals in your floating home will be cooked at sea. Have this special uncommon experience of nature. Overnight in houseboat.

 

Day 10:  Alleppey – Kovalam and Trivandrum

Have a breakfast and leave the house boat carving towards an acquaint place called Kovalam, a common beach city. En-route at Trivandrum:

Cultural and historical museum

The late Raja Ravi Varma and the others in Sri Chitra Art Gallery

Reach Kovalam and take the hotel rooms. Check out the beach at night. In Kovalam, you will have an overnight stay.

 

Day 11: Day Trip to Kanyakumari

Enjoy your all day trip to Kanyakumari. En route, you stop and see Padmanabhapuram Palace, a great wooden building with carved ceilings and very old paintings. At Kanyakumari, witness where the Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean converge .You will be  visit to Kumari Amman Temple, Gandhi Memorial and will have a short boat trip to Vivekananda Rock Memorial. Afternoon, back to Kovalam. Overnight hotel in Kovalam.

 

Day 12: Trivandrum Departure

After breakfast Check-out of your hotel. You will be taken to Trivandrum Airport to catch your flight away. Carry a wonderful Kerala hill, forest, backwater, beach and culture with you.
